A bit about me ...
Mere seconds after I was born, I fell in love with books and words. I have yet to fall in love with math and numbers + I used to be scared of crows (after one dive-bombed my head). But then I got tired of being scared. And I remembered that Love > Fear. I started feeding the crows stale Wheat Thins, and then unsalted roasted peanuts in the shells, and sometimes now I make them little peanut butter sandwiches using the "butts" of the bread my husband refuses to eat, and voila! Now there's a family of four crows that greets me every afternoon with little burbling sounds + I love punctuation; semicolons are my favorite + I have a not-secret crush on Abe Lincoln; my husband is aware yet is not threatened + Abe Lincoln was 6'4". My husband is also 6'4" + I raise mason bees. They are adorable and gentle, and they are super pollinators. The males mate, then promptly die. The females are left to do all the work + I love eavesdropping on others' conversations + Writing a novel is like eavesdropping (and spying) on characters as they make questionable choices then deal with the repercussions of those questionable choices + I get a huge kick out of teenagers; a majority of adults are only so-so by comparison + I love my children (who are in their 20s), and my husband's pretty great too. They are some of the funniest people I know + When I grow up, I want to be exactly what I am: a writer, a teacher, a parent, a happily married person, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and ideally, someone the crows prefer not to dive-bomb.
